Mirror Phone

The mirror phone is a homage to Klemens Schillingers substitute phone. While his devices focuses on the haptic interaction of zooming, scrolling or swiping, the mirror phone is based on a visual intervention. All the internal electronics, including the display were replaced by a mirror. Every time the user checks the phone, longing for messages, updates or news he is being confronted with his mirrored image. The object can either be seen - like the “Substitute Phone” - as an existentialist therapeutic object or as a post smartphone era accessory, making use of former cult objects.
